Can’t speak to the Luna 3, but love my Luna. Bought it off Nordstrom rack for $39 and it works great

like

Yes, Luna fofo model. I have definitely noticed a difference in my skin and like the small size for when I traveled

like

I have combo skin and tbh I haven't seen any change 🤷

like

Damn, how long have you been using it? Have you tried other cleansing tools or just used your hands before getting the Luna 3?

I have the Luna fofo and I felt like it just dried my skin out more and I think that's just because I just spent longer soaping my face

like

I have had Luna 2 for sensitive skin for ~2 months, and it makes my skin feel soft and clean, but I am not sure it’s “changed” my skin much. I use like 1/3 washes, because I think it is fairly drying (I have combo skin + winter so more than that and I get redness). I like it, but you could probably buy a cheaper silicon cleaning tool and achieve similar results.

I have 3 Lunas and love them. Luna 2 for combination skin (use at home), Luna 2 mini (leave at father's house), and a Luna 2 travel size (super tiny, like the size of a quarter). I bought the full size using 20% from Sephora, and the mini when it was $60 at Ulta.

I have dry, red skin (especially in winter) and initially found it more drying till I turned down the vibration speed and better applied the cleanser...now it works great. If you "press" the cleanser into the device then it foams better (assuming you have a foaming cleanser) to actually clean everywhere, otherwise I think I was basically using the device with water only over parts of my face (hence it being more drying). You will need to have a creamy, balm, or foaming cleanser for the device to work well (something to consider, the type of cleanser you use may be more important than you think when considering purchasing the device).

While mostly irrelevant for now, I find these silicone devices in general work so well at removing makeup. I have the Clinique balm and wouldn't go back to just using it without a device.

As for the Luna 3, I read some disconcerting reviews that it requires your phone via Bluetooth to be set/adjusted and turned on as opposed to the Luna 2 which has buttons. Comments that it was more difficult to use in the shower, etc, since you have to reach out with wet hands then unlock your phone to use the device.

I initially purchased a small, cheap silicone device before splurging on a Luna. I have come to love my Luna, but it does take getting used to using a device, so I would recommend trying a cheap device first to see if it's something you can commit to before getting a Luna - you don't want to find that you've splurged then don't use it consistently :)

Luna 2 and Luna go have the anti aging side, but the Luna 2 Mini does not. The minis don't come in different skin type models like the regular or go ones.

I find that I miss the anti aging side because it just feels nice (not sure that it really does anything). I don't use it with serums - I use it before rinsing off my cleanser (mostly since I use the device in the shower). After the last cleanse zone (there are 4) it switches to anti aging immediately.

From a size perspective, the Luna 2 fits in my hand while the Luna 2 Mini fits in my palm. I do like the bigger size of the regular model but also find that the mini is a good size too (whereas go is tiny but great for travel when space is a contraint). I'd say I prefer the regular size over the mini more because of the different bristles than the size.

I bought the Luna 2 and Luna go models a couple years ago and only bought the mini recently because it was cheap ($60) to leave at my father's house. I'm not familiar with the fofo model. If I were you I'd consider the Luna 3 since the Luna 2 is becoming obsolete but would read the reviews carefully to determine if it works for you (for me having to turn it on from my phone is a turn off due to using it in the shower). There seems to be a number of other new features for the Luna 3, especially with the app (Luna 2 is all stand alone).

helpful

I have the original Luna mini and the Luna mini 2. My original one got misplaced in travel so I purchased the Luna mini 2. The only reason I didn’t buy the Luna 3 is because I read terrible reviews about the Bluetooth feature and controls for it. You are better off buying the Luna mini 2 since you can control the pulsation levels without using an app.

Leaning towards the lump-sum since my wife and I don’t have much. But, I haven’t moved to a different city since college grad, so I don’t have a true baseline for cost/hassle.
