Get to know your team. Understand their strengths, developmental points and what motivates them.
Have check-ins that aren’t to discuss deliverables but to see how they’re doing, progressing etc. Give them a chance to give feedback and actively listen.
Ensure you’re setting expectations clearly and ask if they have any questions or concerns.
Leading a team isn’t always about knowing more than your team. It’s about providing direction, helping with solutions and ensuring they are setup to succeed. Remember that and respect their opinions. Their success is your success.
Learn to delegate and set check in expectations at a reasonable cadence to ensure everything is on track. Where possible, let them work autonomously.
Sometimes it’s about trial and error when you’re trying to solve for a client issue. There are times you’ll have to make a call with the information you have on hand and looking back, you might think it wasn’t the right call. I’m open with my team about these instances and tell them knowing what I know now, I would have handled that challenge differently. It shows I’m human and also helps them learn.

A lot of people come in guns a blazing. More concerned with appearing to be seen as a leader than they are with actually getting to know their team and figuring out the best way to lead. Watch the people you respect above you. Mirror what they do. And remember, somebody put you in this position because they saw something in you that you probably don’t see in yourself yet. You have good instincts, and make good decisions. So have confidence in knowing that the things you want others to do are probably good things to try. And here’s a secret: nobody EVER really knows if what they want to do will work. The important thing is never let the people below you see you struggle. You don’t need to known if it’s right. But they do. Good luck and congratulations on the promotion!

The best boss I ever had held twice monthly one on ones with each team member just to talk about career goals, my strengths and weaknesses, and essentially how to make sure I was getting as much out of the job as possible. I’ll never forget how supported I felt.

D1 nailed it; a core responsibility for you now is facilitating growth plans for your team. I recommend looking at some courses or webinars on management (lynda/linkedin learning has a lot) — while you can do it by trial and error, setting some goals and planning this out like any other workstream requiring some upskilling will really help
