Befriend a nurse in each facility, and bring good food or treats will calling on them if you can. Never leave empty handed. Seems old school, but a lot of the decision makers will appreciate the gesture. I also deliberately buy a local favorite - no chains. If you have to leave your item with a gatekeeper, her or she will likely remember you. You can also call to make an “appointment” just to drop off materials for them to review. 9/10 they will say yes and at least get you a business card to hold onto for follow up. Good luck out there. My spouse is in healthcare. They are just swamped and still trying to regroup. 💜

Do some research on what they might have issues with. Demonstrate how your product/service is the solution and how it will make their lives easier.
I always try and dig around for an email or phone number. If your confident about your product and believe that it is the solution for the customer I'd call them. If your having a bad day, send an email with an issue in their specific industry and than quickly your solution aka product/service. Ask if they are free for a phone call with a specific date and time.

This is such great advice!

If they stop you at the front, ask who you need to reach out to for a meeting. A lot of times they will give you a phone number or an email for you to contact. I also run into that problem, sometimes they are willing to meet and sometimes they don’t. But continue to try. Also schedule a lunch with case managers (if that’s who you call on) even if it’s virtual, it’s a way to share your services

This is what I would suggest as well. See if you can schedule something. Also....people love food. I don't know if they allow donuts or treats but that is always a good way to get people to like you. Best of luck to you.

Befriend the people lowest on the totem pole. Ask if you can drop off donuts or lunch or swag for the team, even if that means leaving it outside the door. Ingratiating those who are unappreciated often ends up putting pressure on the higher decision makers. Your contacts will learn about the benefits of the product, and push it up the ladder. Or you might make it in the door eventually which will enable you to meet more potential buyers, even if it is by running into them.

Advice needed: I started at a role the beginning of this year and have been on furlough since May, lasting at least until the beginning of September - this has sparked some consternation in me about potential unfavourable eventualities.

If I end up having to apply to new roles, can I list my tenure as lasting till September / applying to roles asking for a year of tenure?

UK fwiw.

Cheers!

Any folks out there with feedback on what it’s like to work at Ceridian? Toronto office techically, but it’s a WFH opportunity. I had a recruiter reach out for a Program Manager position and I’m speaking to them on Friday. I’m currently at a startup that I really like, but Program Manager is the next step in my career. I’d love to hear about the WLB specifically. Thanks!
