Just use google and get feedback from others in your industry as you go along. Part of learning the process is actually trying it, you'll be fine. Start with pre made UI kits, look at example files, and talk to your developer. Also, try copying UI from other sites and recreating them in your design tools, Figma has good example project files you can steal from
It’s normal to be apprehensive when you’re first start practicing a new skill set. I would say be prepared to research everything you are doing. If you are uncertain, watch YouTube tutorials on how to best use the software, study/practice outside of work hours if you feel shaky, ask specific questions of other designers on your team (if there are any), Reddit, or even here. I doubt you’ll ruin anything, but I’m sure your quality of work will improve over time as you learn and gain confidence. They hired you knowing you didn’t have years of experience in this so they most likely aren’t expecting you to be perfect.
I studied illustration and am self taught in design. In my career I’ve been asked to take on many different kinds of projects. From UX/UI/Product, to RFP/RFI decks, to a marketing content, and beyond. It’s normal to feel a bit uncertain when tackling a new design challenge that you’ve never done before, but as long as you understand the fundamentals of design you can learn to design just about anything. I am constantly looking up guidelines, tutorials, and inspo so that I can fill in knowledge gaps and improve the quality and efficiency of the work. It’s just part of the job and it never goes away but it does get easier with practice. You got this girl! Just hustle hard and stay humble!
