If my firm allows both traditional and Roth 401K, which one should I invest in? 27 years old, $90k salary.

What does everyone do to stay fit during the pandemic and WFH? I've never had a consistent exercise routine but I want to start one, however I have a hard time making myself exercise in the morning so that doesn't help. Any pointers appreciated
How do you all think remote working is influencing gender dynamics in your teams? I wonder if/how relying on virtual comms with no in-person interactions will help or hurt things.
How can I not be awkward at conferences where all my remote coworkers that I've never met will be there? I have an issue with awkward silence and not knowing what to say or how to act.
List on companies that hire remote workers: Not 100% of their roles are remote, but they have a whole bunch of options across the spectrum divisions.
I’ve had issues since high school, but just formally got diagnosed with ADHD. I’ve always managed to get by okay at work (I’m no super star), but remote meetings have been really difficult for me and I now feel like I’m barely hanging on. Trying meds now, but no benefits yet. Pros and Cons of disclosing the diagnosis to my team, partner, or firm? I’m torn.
My husband and I (both 27) max out our Roth IRAs each year, have a complete emergency fund, and I’m able to start maxing my 401K this year (he contributes 10% to his 401K - it isn’t possible for him to max his based on his current pay). We contribute 18% extra towards principal on our mortgage each month. We now have about $20k of additional savings we want to figure out what to do with. What would you recommend to someone who is new to stocks/investments?
How much do people save, pre and post tax, including 401k contributions? I’m 2 years out of college, no debt, making 90k a year, saving around 30% pre tax a year, wondering how others think about this
Big 4 : Can you work remote from Europe (Belgium,France, England...) for a couple months and use your domestic location charge code ( US ) ? Please share experience ...
I never thought that I'd say this, but I want to see offices and cubes make a return to the workplace. Either that or 70-100% work from home. Only having the option of open workspaces is terrible.
Any fishes working 2 full time jobs simultaneously? What’s your experience like? Heard it’s been trending upward due to WFH.
If I ask for remote after accepting offer from Accenture, will they agree? If they do, will they reduce package??
How do you handle keeping the kids at home and both parents WFH? Do you take turns? Specifically, do you explain to your teams that babies need tending to throughout the day?
Folks who’ve left ClearView, how is life on the other side, and how long did you stay before you jumped ship? It’s a week where I’m burning, and the fact that I feel so isolated during it makes me want to quit consulting altogether. Would also like to talk to some of you if possible. Never thought I’d say this but I honestly feel unhappy in my job, and I wonder if it is just WFH related - and whether it might get better once the office opens up.
Imagine if this virus hit thirty years ago. If it wasn't for the internet, allowing WFH and communications, the economy would basically collapse. It could be alot worse.
Why does everyone say PE is a “low risk” way to make a lot of money? Once you hit VP level, isn’t the majority of your compensation in carry, which doesn’t get paid out until 5-7 years AFTER it is earned (while in consulting, your bonus is paid out in the year it’s earned)? And if you look at the CALPERS database, don’t many funds of mega fund/UMM PE firms fail to exceed the hurdle rate? So even at established UMM/MF PE firms there’s a possibility you’ll get no carry? Am I missing something?
How hard is it to get fired or put on PIP in Big 4 or public accounting in general? Aside from covid related departures.
Where’s the coolest country you have traveled to for a project? Also how did you get on this project?
DCA airport. Thank god for my tsa pre-check. I have been diamond for three years. Now I am gold; Other than silver, I feel like a plebian. Thoughts?
Is there any benefit of doing six Sigma, black belt , if you are not actively involved in quality. Also any other skills you guys recommend for better switch
At PWC MC Health Industries, got an offer for KPMG MC Healthcare. Interested in finding out more about your division!
No new from RP yet about promotion but Got an email from Independence Checkpoint about a new portfolio due within 5 days. Does that mean I made manager?
How much would leaving big law be worth to you? I.e. how much of a pay cut would you take to leave (assume comparable work with a much better culture and hours requirement).
Folks who have been naturalized -- is it really necessary to bring printed copies of tax returns or evidence of your international trips to the interview? I've read about people bring several years worth of tax returns but nowhere does it say on USCIS.
For those in Advisory and not pursuing their CPA, what are the other credentials you can use for promotion to senior?
If every study shows bad management slows productivity and cost companies good employees, why are all these a**hole clients and the MDs who turn a blind eye protected? My client's awful attitude creates an extremely unproductive environment. We spend more time protecting his ego or getting irrationally screamed at, than we do doing our jobs. I thought our MD might step in, but he just completely downplayed it and even blamed us. Why isn't there more attention on changing this outdated ideology?
I'm a first year and just received a raise, even though I haven't been at the firm for a year yet. It's a great amount, and I'm so thankful. The partners told me in person but I'm just wondering if I should ask them to put it in writing, just to confirm it and in case anything happens down the road? If I learned anything as an attorney, it's to always have everything in writing lol
How easy is it to change industries? I've been in oil & gas for 3 years but I don't want my exit opportunities to be limited to that industry only as I don't particularly enjoy it.
Can somebody please explain to me why MBB and other top consulting firms are so adamant that you have an MBA? I majored in accounting, finance, and operations management at a top 10 undergrad business school and then got my masters in information systems from the grad school program. I took multiple MBA courses as electives when getting my masters and it seemed like those classes were very basic and easy. Idk if I would learn anything in an MBA program that I hadn’t already learned in undergrad

What metrics do you use to gauge your health? Don’t see a doc nearly enough and given the lifestyle curious to know what folks track
“A child really isn’ that expensive in the first 3-4 years” ~ Spouse 7 months ago. Our bank account after 7 months of pregnancy says otherwise. I’m excited to be a father and I want to be a good father, but there is zero chance this child is going to remember or even care what decorations we chose for the nursery. Advice on picking battles over expenditures for a future child?
