Has your husband done a sperm analysis? Sounds like you got the normal ones they would recommend. Personally would start working with a fertility specialist since this may be unexplained infertility
Yeah - is your husband refusing to get evaluated himself? It may be an issue with him.
Check that sperm! That is probably one of the first things any clinic you get in to will ask for given what you’ve had done thus far and it’s required to correctly diagnose a couple. Many times there is a wait for your first appointment so see if your husband can get the analysis done in the meantime so you have the results ready at your consult. Male factor infertility is absolutely on the rise and not at all uncommon.
Second this. It is also way cheaper, faster, easier to check than most women’s issues.
Sorry to hear OP. I am almost in same situation as well. Although we haven’t taken any tests yet. Just anxious about it and not sure as where to start.. looking forward to hear others suggestions
It’s been mentioned before many times in this bowl so this may be repetitive but a RET is going to help you navigate this better than OBGYN since this is 100% what they do. So getting that doctor in place can be step 1.
Please have your partner do a full work-up with urology and sperm analysis. My husband needed to have a procedure for a severe varicocele that his other providers continually dismissed. Male factor infertility occurs just as frequently as female and there is a significant dearth in the research literature that needs to be addressed.
Also genetic carrier testing may also be insightful for you both just in case.
Urologist noted that recovery could take a few months to see results of repair but that ultimately sperm is highly unpredictable/variable. We tried naturally conceiving post-op before moving onto IUIs then finally IVF.
The general/most aggressive recommendation for male factor is IVF with ICSI which is what we did to bank embryos for future use since egg quality based on (my) age is another consideration for our personal “parenthood runway.”
In hindsight I would have forgone the IUIs completely and gone straight to IVF sooner. Most couples typically feel this way after the fact - but do what is right for you both.
Did you guys tried follicle study to know the ovulation? What about amh test to see egg count and sperm analysis? Also follicle study can help in ovulation and in this way the doc can make sure the egg is getting released before 21mm. If the egg overmatures during ovulation then also it dnt mature.
