Letter mentions progression from grade 3 to grade 4, but at the beginning of the month SM said he is suggesting my name for promotion. Now that it's mentioned as progression in the letter, promotion is out of scope? Or can it change from progression to promotion before feb 4 announcement?

I am currently working on getting my Azure certification from Microsoft. I am interested in Cloud computing and find it is mentioned on a lot of roles I am applying for. I currently work as a Business Analyst for a software development team. How valuable is Azure and what can I do with this knowledge in the future?

How often do PE firms sponsor green card? Debating if it’s worthwhile to stick in consulting just for green card sponsorship or simply forget about it and pursue other opportunities. Would like to stay in the US in the long term though, so seems like trade offs are inevitable.
