When you share the list of topics that your propose to the meeting with your colleague do you explicitly suggest who should own what section / topics ? If not, I would suggest you start there ... I propose I cover XYZ and you ABC - does that work?
Also, you can always suggest youâre trying to build your client muscle at the new firm and would like to open the meetings and facilitate ?
This makes sense. I will start this from today. Thanks.
Was supposed to get promotion there as well. I was a good performer in my previous firm and always felt good about myself. I am not so techie however I have a decent understanding of technical subjects and iam learning things in current project. However, I always feel that iam ignored or left out during the meeting. My peer is also on my same level. We both manage the project. He has more technical knowledge than me and considered to be âvery goodâ even before I got into the project. I learn things from him nothing to complaint about it. I always discuss the agenda with him before we meet the client but he would just start with some random topics and finish the entire meeting and then only ask me at the end of the meeting if I have anything to say. I would literally have 0 items since I have already discussed everything with him
Prior to the meeting as he has covered the topic. So I donât think I have good name with the client.
Also, my manager and director directly doesnât oversee our project so I donât know what he knows about me or what tasks I would do. I defly do a decent job about it. But iam guessing they donât know what I actually do and they donât consider that I provide enough value and they ignore me
During the calls. This actually hurt me or make me feel bad about my career. I even fee like quitting but my visa status wouldnât let me join another company soon.
I am thinking of talking about this to my director. Any suggestion? I know itâs a lot of vent from me. But I donât know how to handle it
