I'd like to find a mentor.

I'd consider myself "junior/mid" level recruiter but I'd really love to develop my skills and be more refined and process driven in my approach. I feel these things develop with time but I'm usually the one jumping the gun and having more ideas and questions than actual solutions. There's obviously many layers to the rest of this topic but I'm curious if anyone has had success in finding a mentor/coach to work with?

Had 3 rounds of interviews for a job that starts in January. So i checked in with the recruiter and now she wants to schedule a “call” next week. What does that mean? Would they tell me I’m not getting an offer?

The grass is not always greener. I left my prior firm that paid market but had a high hours requirement for bonus solely because I didn’t think I would hit it and the new firm guaranteed my bonuses. I loved the firm and the people, and the partners were always available to help. I like the work at my new firm and the people are great, but the partners are never available and I feel like they just tossed me in the ocean and I’m drowning. Midlevel. Anyone else in the same boat?

Can’t decide if I’m being ghosted by a partner or if I’m just reading into it. Had a good discussion about a matter that we wrapped up and then I went on vacation. Haven’t gotten a response back (have sent a few emails about staffing on new matters) from the partner in over a week and a half since then and they also haven’t stopped by my office which would typically happen once or twice a week. I had technical and behavioral interview today at Deloitte Canada for visual analytics and information design position.
In technical round there was a case study to create visual data sheet and present it to technical round.

It went good they asked couple of questions and showed that at some point it lacks of continuity and rest thing is good. I have been told we will discuss and send details to HR and you will get update within few days. What are the chances that they can hire me ?

I need some thoughts on what to ask for a starting salary. My background is ten years in tech support, and currently Lead Graphic Designer for my department with about four years of graphic design behind that. I also just finished my master's degree in Human Computer Interaction design (and was among the top in my class). I thought $80k as an absolute minimum ask but considering my credentials and education I really don't want to undersell myself. I'd appreciate thoughts on the matter.

I had a really weird interview for Creative Director today.

It’s a small startup. HR interviewed me and asked all the hard hitting questions (how do you get design inspiration, how do you deal with design roadblocks, what sets you apart for this role?) which I thought was odd for a screening interview.

They made some affirmative noises then said the next step would be a design test (one pager) which I would present to a panel of interviewers including the CMO.
Anyone else think this is odd?

I am committed to working in Experience Design, but rather apathetic and bored with the everyday mundane work. Friends, have you been here and did you find a way to create more interesting work?

If you can create a personal project from scratch to add to your portfolio, how would you approach it?

So I work as a freelancer for an agency. And I have another client outside of that agency. I work between figma files and sometimes use components across files but change and redesign them to fit the project. My manager in the agency was able to "go to main component" and see my other client's project which included some of the agency's icons (they downloaded them online) and some basic tabs and drop shadows components. I feel busted but I shouldn't but can't get over the embarrassment.
