I filed an ethics complaint in early June, and after going up the chain and calling out nothing was done on it, and I was being gaslighted/my personal life being used to show I am the problem in early October, I met with the execs in Ethics. The initial meeting, they gaslighted me, and then tone was better in the second meeting. Now 2-3 weeks later, General Counsel wants to see me. What should I do? Should I be worried? I have sought counsel outside of the company. This is huge fintech company.

Just got out of a meeting with a client. Talk about uncomfortable- they'd fired their director that morning and he ran in screaming at the team. They ended up calling security to kick him out!

2nd year here: just got reamed multiple times by a partner in a checklist call for not having enough detail in my open items list. Thing is the draft i had sent the midlevel was far more detailed, they told me to remove it all and make it as barebones as possible. Do I just take this L? I'm pretty annoyed because the partner mentioned it TWICE in the call with clients for my lack of detail.

Midlevel didnt apologize or even acknowledge this issue. I've never been so mad in my career.

Is there a corporate way to bring up to senior leaders that an IC is causing issues across multiple teams because they are demanding and also doesn’t collaborate well? The IC gives vague “direction” then says they are too busy to clarify. They also refuse to use our project management/ collaboration tools.

What do you do when you are more senior in experience/title, but the hierarchy at work isn’t clear, and you have to act as partner to someone less senior, who constantly says you’re their partner, so the new boss/everyone sees you as less senior? Should I casually mention to the boss that I’m happy to act as partner with the juniors even though I’m more experienced, since they don’t have someone at the same level to work with? Or will that just make me look bad? Don’t wanna ruin relationships

My coworkers & I have a group chat. Fairly often, we do some griping about work. We also have fun convos, share dog pics, etc. Sometimes though, you just want to commiserate. One coworker frequently comments about how it could be worse, stay positive, her prior job was so much worse, etc. One of us had called her out twice. She’s cool otherwise (except for a need to educate people unnecessarily on a semi regular basis) but this is really souring my desire to maintain a relationship w her.

Hey guys! I transfered to big law from a small firm where I had always worked with 1/2 Juniors who were working for me exclusively.

Now I share 7-8 juniors with a lot of people. I have problems with them taking work since they say they have too much on their plate, and thet dont produce quality deliveries in time (looks like they half ass it or dont invest time) (2/8 Juniors do fine)

I think they could push harder, but not sure how to handle the situation without a negative dinamic. Any tips?

Has anyone ever been a victim to a team member’s jealousy? I have this person on my team who tears apart my work in front of all the creative directors. It makes me look bad.. I can’t help but take her comments personally. I can’t help but think there’s some jealousy- she has so much energy to rip someone apart. Everyone else complements my work but I’m afraid to mess up and have her call me out in front of the directors. I feel like the whole time I’m just playing defense. What do I do?

Execs need to understand that with less time (accelerated filing), less people (many leavers were not replaced.. work mostly allocated to remaining members), and less legacy knowledge (half of the team left), you can’t expect same quality work. I get that audit quality is important, but that’s only possible when required resource is provided..
