Hello, I have received an offer from Southwest Airlines as a Associate Technology Analyst with their direct college hire program. Will be graduating in May with a degree in MIS and also have internships experience as a Business Systems analyst intern. The salary compensation started off at 66,500 but was looking for the 75k range and they got back to me saying the best they can do is 68,500. They also have a 401k company match up to 9.3%. Do you think this is a solid offer for this job market?
Has anyone taken STD/parental leave at both Js?

We have the vista, and I highly recommend the stroller bag they make. I felt so much better that the stroller would be safe down below, and UppaBaby even gives you a guarantee that they will replace the stroller if it is damaged while in the bag.
If you get it, though, PRACTICE putting it in the bag at home. It’s kind of tricky, and you don’t want to be figuring it out for the first time while the whole gate stares at you.

Yep, we bring our kids’ car seats through the airport and install them on the plane for them to sit in. Plane seatbelts don’t fit little kids safely and I’m generally not willing to risk damage to expensive seats from checking them.
Yep!
I would check the car seat at the regular checked bag place though, that way you don't have to haul it through the airport (unless you're paying for an extra seat and need the car seat, but I have flown with my now 14 month old at least ten times in the last year and have never done that)
Really easy to check the stroller at the gate. Then you can pick it up as soon as you get off the plane and continue from there. I have an Agio which is very similar to the UPPAbaby and it's been great. Also like bringing the stroller because we can throw a backpack or two in the bottom and that's less stuff we have to carry through the airport!
Also, for D1, we went to Spain /Italy in April with our baby and this worked great at that time too.
I would recommend a car seat /stroller system while your baby is an infant though, because that way if you're out and about and suddenly need to take a taxi somewhere you have a car seat right there that you haven't had to haul around. Our baby just recently outgrew her infant car seat and we're terrified, haha it was so nice to be able to grab taxis whenever we wanted because the car seat was already with us, and now that option is gone to us :(
We bought an extra seat for the baby (6 months) and put him in a travel car seat (so we didn’t have to bring the base of his Nuna Pipa). We stashed it under his stroller walking through the airport. We have the Uppababy Vista and Cruz (they share the same travel bag). We brought our Cruz on this trip and it was great. Gate checked the Cruz in the travel approved bag from Uppababy.
My husband jumped on the plane first with the stroller and car seat and one roller board. I held baby, diaper bag, and one more roller board. Baby and I were last people to board the plane so we sat down and pushed back. We fed baby on the way down - started 20 minutes before landing and used smallest nipple on the bottle to make the bottle last the whole 20 minutes. Spinners stick good on the window and can be fun. We brought his noise machine to help with sleep just in case. Put baby in seat next to window to keep his less distracted from people walking by.

Just a note for anyone else that only the Pipa “Lite” models except the RX require a base - all of the other Pipa infant seats can be installed baseless.
I just did a number of trips gate checking a car seat and double stroller domestically and internationally and it was no problem. I bring a baby carrier onboard to make it easier if I get up
Following! I will fly in December internationally snd my baby will be 7mo

Y’all are amazing!!! Thank you!!! We ran out and got both travel covers. So glad everyone mentioned this - had no idea they existed!!
I say it depends where you’re going and how long the flight is. I’ve been flying with my kid since 6 weeks old. I used to bring the vista stroller but this stroller was too bulky sometimes especially in destinations with narrower walkways and older establishments. Overtime I have found the stroller bag unnecessary. It is so much easier to have the uppababy g-luxe or similar and just leave it/pick up at jet bridge without having to bag/unbag it. Trust me, the airlines do not stall people from keep walking to jetbridge while you are trying to carry or pack/unpack this stroller. For the car seat, if you can afford an extra seat and the flight is longer than a couple hours, I would recommend bringing the seat on board for baby to sleep and give you guys a break. If you are bringing child on lap, check the car seat in a car seat bag before going through security - do not recommend lugging through security and airport.
