Instead of a gift, I arranged a very nice dinner out with our two closest couple friends. The six of us had a great time
In addition to a getaway it could be nice to do something sentimental. I did one of those 40 things I love about you posters and had the kids tell me a bunch and I filled in the rest. He loved it and hung it in his closet to look at every morning. Sentimental goes a long way especially when you’re stressed with young kids!

Oh one more! Hire a private chef and have a fancy meal cooked for you at home to enjoy after kiddos go to bed. Super fun and romantic.
Love it!
My husband just turned 40, too! He’s kind of an introvert and I knew he’d hate a surprise party or anything like that... I got him a driving experience at a local place that let him drive 4 different European sports cars, and he loved it. Only problem is now he wants to buy a sports car.
Yes!

We did an overnight to a place we love with some friends. He got up earl with some of our group and did a hike that has been on his bucket list and the rest of us hung out at the pool with the kids. It was low key but really fun
Yeah I am thinking about low key with kids ...so need to find a place that is young toddler friendly...
Get a sitter and spend the evening talking about how much you love your kid? (Sarcasm is for myself... my hubby and I end up talking about our kids all the time during date night 🤦♀️)
Birthday memorable. Any suggestions? Any idea would be great.
