Hi, my friend is trying to do a start up in the UAE and was wondering what would be required of him on the cybersec end. I’m pretty fresh in my career and have only done IAM so I’m not sure how(cont.)

Why not do everything in the cloud? Easier to scale and only paying for what you use.

Btw just got more details that it’s a News webservice with 10 employees

to answer his question. Any advice on what they need to do or what questions I should be asking to narrow down what he needs?

Hey OP - D1’s suggestion is good. If your friend doesn’t have a lot of technical skills have him check if existing SaaS solutions exist for what they want to do. If he has to leverage PaaS/IaaS or any of the public clouds e.g., AWS,Azure, GCP then he you’ll want to familiarize yourself with the responsibility matrix. You’ll be responsible for your own security there. If you’re interested in understanding what goes into securing cloud environments check out the various docs for the public cloud providers or if you really want to get into it check out CSA CCM.

Im thankful for the work and the opportunity, just feeling less than, especially bc life outside of work is lacking bc of sacrifices made.

Hi all,
I graduated during Covid with a double major in business administration and business management with a minor in marketing and magically ended up in sales because I needed a job. I’m about to take a data analytics course to make an attempt to break into that field. I’m currently looking for a mentor to help guide me during this time. Also, if anyone is willing to look over my resume and give me tips on how to make it more presentable for recruiters in DA that would be very helpful. Thanks

Have a question to make sure this is not "tax evasion"

I made some money in crypto that I want to give to my family -- not withdrawing anything for myself, going to continue to hold.

If I withdraw some profits to give my fam , I'll obviously pay at my tax rate (which is high). Is it better and fine to just directly transfer the crypto to them and they can sell it ? (I know there's a 15k gift tax)

Would appreciate advice -- thanks!
