What’s WLB like at A&M? Thanks in advance
Tech Mahindra Hey guys, I attempted Hackathon by tech Mahindra (for jr java developer 1-3 yr exp). After 3 days I received a call from hr confirming that I have been shortlisted and took hr round on that call. Later I received a document verification mail asking for all essential docs which are required for joining, but didn't received any offer letter yet. When I cross checked mail address with my friend in tech Mahindra, he confirmed that such hr exists with same e-mail id. Is it normal in tech Mahindra?
Anyone feel they’re slow?
Need references at DELOITTE and SUTHERLAND

Your friend is being scam. Pre covid, a lot of agencies made you reimburse your salary. You would be paid every month but you have to bill for 3x your salary value (you are making 50K you should be billing 150K) you should not have to pay for linkedin, it's an obligatory tool in recruitment that should be provided by the company (should he also pay a renting fee for his computer?! Seriously!)
There is plenty of agency that will not scam him. Because I am pretty there is a high turn over in his company
Yeah that's what they say! Every job in the world is a performance job! Why is it that only people in sales are the one that have to pay back their salary! If a recruiter doesn't perform he should be reviewed and fired. That's it! We have some month where we don't make placement. It happens, that doesn't mean we didn't do a right job and didn't work hard! The boss is an asss! Your friend should leave, he cam be treated better, paid better elsewhere! It's over for company. They are not candidate compétitive! Recruiter are needed in every organization! He will find a new place better!
This is not the general practice
That is scammy.
A loooong time ago, I was an agency recruitment consultant with a salary + commission. In reality, it was a commission-only role as the floated salary was clawed back from commission earned, generally similar to the situation above.
Here's the thing: I was completely fine with this. and chose this model, as this comp model offered the higheset commission rate.
I was young, hungry - necessary to bring in new business/clients - as well as being a good recruiter, so could maximize my earnings with this model.
I took a risk on myself, and it worked out, and ran my desk independently.
The company helped me grow by giving me the office, office admin, recruitment and sales/marketing/advertising tools, and by having a major brand, that generated walk-in clients for me.
Over time they also hired additional support staff so I could grow my desk - hiring dedicated soucer/recruiter for me to manage, to support me and my clients, which was paid by them, not out of my comp.
The inmail thing is absolute scam (as well as being cut-the-nose-off-your-face-stupid). That is a cost of doing business and should be 100% paid by the company. Your friend should be actively looking for a new employer/opportunity.
Never heard something like this. This is not a normal practice in recruiting agencies.
In my twenty odd years in recruitment, and now, recruiting recruiters both internally and in to agency; I've never come across this. I have heard of agencies removing LinkedIn Recruiter access from consultants that aren't able to demonstrate, what seemed to be, an arbitrary ROI from their usage. I thought THAT was bad enough.
He is an in-house tech recruiter, base around 45-50k. I don’t know the specific amount number for “debt”
Not that I've ever heard. It certainly wasn't that way when I was a recruiter.
That is a horrible business model -- please tell your friend to leave that job immediately. They are taking major advantage of their employees who are probably at the junior level trying to gain experience.
