Setting up a new solo firm in a coworking space. Help me understand how budgeted hours are helpful when firm budgeted 4 hours for a brand new client and existing clients take 4-5 hours? Firms hope that staff will be efficient and let you know how long it actually takes and why it took longer than 4 hours, however what usually happens is that they either rush through it thinking 4 hours is the real budget and the work quality and learning experience will be terrible OR they will complete the work and eat hours to show 4 hours.

I recently got hike in my current organisation from 5 to 7.5 lpa ctc and in that month itself deloitte is offering me 10.5 fixed 1.5-2 lacs variable on my new ctc. Which is 40 % hike.

What do you think ? I did asked for 60% hike. HR is not listening. I don’t have any other offers as of now.
