Hi People,
I live in Berlin and earn 73k euro with no yearly bonus and no stocks in Zalando.
I have received an offer from ByteDance in Singapore. They are giving 107400 SGD as base pay, 26000 SGD as yearly bonus and 62000 SGD RSUs.

I would like to get opinion from all of you whether the offer from ByteDance is better than I have in Zalando considering high cost of living in Singapore.

Should I negotiate the compensation with ByteDance?

Local terms or expat ? Will they pay for your relocation ?

I am an expat and yes they will pay for the relocation.

Bumping it up!

Oh and as for the culture, I also heard mix reviews on this. Bad thing is from time to time you will encounter tools/documentations written in chinese, but they have a translation service which gives quite good english translation. Also some said there are meetings conducted in chinese but it’s pretty rare. They said the management is changing this and is working on globalizing the company. Talking with team members they also said the team has pretty good autonomy and I like that. Also currently they have hybrid work arrangement with minimum 2 days per week to return to office but it’s pretty flexible , and they have 20 working days allowance to work from overseas

Hello!

I finished my final round(s) for a TAM position at
Google (GCP) last week and was told by my recruiter that my feedback was great and that I made a solid impression on the team and am "firmly in the running". I was supposed to hear back this week (according to the recruiter) but he just told me that it's still in the process and that I'll have to wait for another week or so.

Is this common at Google ? I have heard they are notorious for being really slow with their hiring process.

I feel like it was just a waste of my time if I decided to going forward.

I’ve been offered a position that I’m really excited about. Their initial offer was 10K more than the top of the salary range they gave me for the position when I asked during the interview process and at the top end of the salary requirements I set for myself. My partner thinks I should still negotiate for more even though I’m happy with the offer. Am I an idiot if I don’t negotiate in this case? Realistically, I don’t think I’d get much more than that, but should I negotiate out of principle?
