May be in a post already and perhaps you can direct me toward it, but what’s your trading platform and why? I’m using e-trade right now and looking for something better.

I had the salary discussion with Infosys
Though I had a high CTC in my hand, they are not willing to give my expected CTC .
Infosys is offering 13lpa as a whole CTC, and though we discussed 1 week back, still I haven't received it.
Should I re-approach for a negotiation. I have an offer from Accenture (16) , Cognizant(12) , Jade Global (16)

Here’s an out of the box question: How do you get out of the insurance industry? I’ve heard that the longer you stay in, the harder it is to get out. Are there any other industries I can transition to?

I also have so many other interests like yoga, art, nutrition, real estate investing… I’m 25 and would ultimately like to be my own boss at some point.

Hi ladies! We started this bowl because a few of us recently took new positions in the midst of COVID and are struggling with WFH. Here’s my story, please share yours! Just moved to a new country and joined a big local firm as a junior. I am a chronic procrastinator and I think it’s because I have low self-confidence, esp. with my writing style. Accountability is key to my productivity, and unless I’m micromanaged, I struggle to self-discipline. Will be sharing resources and tips in next post!

I am about to hit one year at my small firm this September. I’m at a 2 partner, 1 associate (me) family law firm. I feel like a glorified paralegal. I’ve done a few court appearances but nothing crazy, also don’t feel like I’m learning, just getting assigned tasks, no clients of my own. I only make 55k and don’t even think I like family law anymore. How do I get out without being able to add much experience to my resume? I was a law clerk post law school, this is my first associate position

Does anybody else have clients that want to be “innovative” and “disruptive” but the second you share a really cool, insightful, big idea with them that’s on strategy they proceed to fumble like fools and just want to focus on basic block-and-tackle tactics and never actually do anything that’s innovative?

I’ve been dealing with this for years and I never understand why some clients sell themselves as disruptive when they’re scared to do anything daring or spend any money.

A long-time friend that has probably 10 properties now added me to his friends and family list. He found a multi-unit for $750k and the numbers look fine except for a 6% equity boost for him as a sourcing/finders fee. Seems steep to me. Anyone have a similar data point?

ETA: property manager will be used so this fee truly only relates to sourcing.
