Hi, has anyone had this before: been a month sense interview, my online status never changed so I sent a follow up email to the supervisor, within an hour instead of getting a response my online status changed from consideration to pending decision. Is that bad? The hiring manager never responded to me just updated online status, is that a NO? I am so confused and never seen an online status get updated right after a follow up email.

Personal Tax Question: I’m trying to determine if possible to gain harvest with some LT cap gain positions. My wife was a student all year (no income), starting a new job next year. In determining the applicable LT capital gain tax rate, is it straight AGI or is it taxable income which takes into account full 12k IRA deduction and 24k standard deduction? If the latter, I could get under the 80k threshold and harvest some LT capital gains with 0% tax. Anyone familiar with this? TIA!
