How do you prepare for certifications (Oracle Cloud Fusion)? I find actual implementation experience really is not very related to doing well on the certification. Any tips between doing certain trainings, buying practice exams, etc?

Thave used AR's mock exams, and used my wrong answers to figure out my weakness and where I truly stand. I didn't purchase AR's course, just the mock exam simulator.
The 200 agile questions by David McLachlan were amazing, it really helped me in adapting to an agile mindset. TIA simulator n Joseph Phillip is useful.

A good strategy I have is to see what type of client I am talking to and make dinner in the house for that person. I mean, if it is a couple I prepare a romantic dinner for two, and I tell them to come well-dressed and let them enjoy the dinner in the house. If it is a family, I prepare a family dinner and prepare the family table for all the people who would live in the house. Making them feel at home before buying the house does not fail, what do you think? What other strategies do you use?

I know that I am being underpaid. Have been with the company 6 years, have my MBA, and make a little more than new hires in the current market.
Have discussed this and shared my benchmarking with my direct management and HR. They keep telling me to “be patient” (for the opportunity that is ahead of me) & that “life is unfair”.

I’ve offered to help him out but would it be ethical to charge him for it? Let’s talk about wrongful termination. The other day I was fired in the middle of the day without any warning. My colleagues called me because they were confused on why the Talent Manager dismissed me from the chat. I didn’t know what they were referring to. So I called my PM to ask what was happening, and she said that she just got off the phone with the TM and said they were terminating my contract that moment due to me speaking up about micromanaging. No explanation just kicked out. Advice?

Last summer, I had three offers to compare when making a decision. Two were Director level, one was IC. Leading a team and TA initiatives are high on my list of priorities, but the IC role was for an impressive/publicly traded tech company and offered better salary + benefits. I lost a lot of sleep over the decision, and surveyed every important person in my life, and worked with a career coach. I made the decision to take the IC role with the big company.

Hello…wanted to ask for some advice on what a salary should be for an agency recruiter in technology. This person currently makes 70k base and roughly 60k in commissions annually. Their gross profit for the year hovers around 800k in profit. Is this person’s base salary appropriate for the amount of GP this person brings in the door? Or should they be higher in base salary? Please let me know….any suggestions or insight would be very helpful.
