I started at a V40 firm around the beginning of the year, and it’s quickly become clear that meaningful, substantive opportunities aren’t available to the associates because the partners are hoarding all the work. The people are nice, but I’m concerned that spending too much time at this firm without getting any competitive experience will end up hurting me in the long run. When is too soon for me to consider looking for another opportunity?

When is the best time to mention a clawback provision to a new firm? During the interview when they ask “how soon can you start”? Or after you get an offer?

The clawback doesn’t necessarily prevent me from starting ASAP, but it does affect my start date in some respect & I’d definitely try to negotiate with the new firm to pay all/some of it. For context, the signing bonus is low/mid 5-figures. Thoughts?

Hi, I appeared for an interview with Morgan Stanley in Legal and Compliance Devision. Out of 3 rounds 2 rounds have been completed and last round with HR is due. I mailed them but there is no response. I called the HR she says she has no updates yet and will get back to me. Can you please advise what should be done now and what is normal TAT at Morgan Stanley after interview.
