What are most producers seeing for their commission % on NB? I have a base salary, so I am not straight commission- BUT I only receive commission on new biz, nothing on renewals/retention. My base is supported by managing and servicing an existing book of biz and the book I have started to build since moving into a more sales directed position.

What is the benchmark for expected salary increase when changing jobs? I am exiting to FAANG product role, and I know pay is standardized, but within the room to maneuver I want to have some goal

Would it come off as weird or inappropriate to put made-up strategy briefs on a portfolio?

People say it’s critical to showcase your thinking to land a planning role, but for people changing focuses (moving from social to brand, seeking your first planning role, etc.) this often wouldn’t show in your actual work. Would supplementing real work with hypothetical briefs that doesn’t have outcomes or creative be frowned upon?

Not easy to post but need some help. Got into consulting 3 years ago with Deloitte. Loved the work, had issues with politics and my onboarding process. Had an opportunity to move back to CA at a boutique late 2019 and took it. Long story short my timing was poor, the client I was billed to was acquired, and I was laid off.
