Hi I am a Data Engineer. I work in Azure and knows only Sql, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory and PySpark basic. I have Y.O.E 1.5 years & current CTC 4.5 lpa. I worked in ingestion layer. I want to switch my job as I am not getting good project opportunities anymore. So with these skills how much CTC can I ask for or expect during my job switch? As this will be my first job switch so I am kinda not having any idea or knowledge what CTC to ask for and what is the market rate for my skillset?

Is it a common practice to double deploy consultants ? I.e., bill them 8 hours to client 1 and 2-3 hours at client 2? And do you do that with/without clients knowledge and consent?

I’ve been asked why I never tried a Big4/ MBB as I’ve got results & with big names as my clients. What does it take for an experienced (+20y, 7countries) to be hired? What is the application process? How do you politely tell a client that they’ve got the wrong guy for the job? I was brought onto an app project to do brand and UI/UX copy, but I’ve started to be asked to do some pretty heavy strategy stuff while we wait for more parts of the app to be built out. So I just got fired…. And was told I’d get two months severance… I’m in utter shock since I just got back from the hospital.
