Hi All,
Persistent Systems is giving 10% variable on gross annual CTC. HR says you would receive minimum 70% of variable pay every month and remaining 30% will credited once a year at the end.
Does anyone has idea on this? Can I believe this and include 70% variable in my take home

Do anything except micro-management!!!
Often new managers falls into this trap of having to know everything about their project and trying to hold onto complete control. Remember,
1. Your developers know more than you, trust their decision.
2. Set project goals, and trust your devs to take care of them.
3. Always leave a little breathing room in your estimates.
4. Do not try to negotiate with developers about their leaves, or dev estimate or working hours. Good developers are often egoistic maniacs and they won't take more than a week to find a new job if you try to piss them off.
5. Track everything, but silently. Use Jira filters, create agile boards, release documents and development and release plans. Jira Is your friend. Take a udemy course if you feel.
6. Plenty of appreciation & motivation. Always over-communicate and over appreciate.
7. If there is budget for party or recreation please spend it on that. Keep your devs happy, your job depends on it.
8. Note everything. You'll often find yourself juggling with information more than you can handle, keep writing it down.
9. MS Excel is your friend. Master it.
