I’m a 4 year attorney working in a small boutique firm doing immigration and PI litigation. My salary is fixed with no commission. Thinking of negotiating about commission but not sure what percentage is reasonable. The partners once mentioned they want to make me a “junior partner.” We didn’t go into details but I think they want me to also put money in and take cuts. I’m wondering about the reasonable ratio of investment and cuts. Your thoughts are very much appreciated!

I was brought into a role to be a ‘candidate experience specialist’ but I find that candidate experience is really just responding and following up w them as fast as possible so my manager is having me source on the side and schedule interviews for her.
