But agreed 115k sounds very low on the surface.. that’s what your average senior at a big 4 makes a few years out of undergrad.
Regardless of the above, Slalom hires people without big firm experience all the time. In a larger market, I bet you can get at least $130k out of them...
Thanks for that, it's basically what I'm thinking. My experience is 10 years in consulting, currently at my boutique's equivalent of Manager. Work usually involved leading org change strategy and managing that worksteream for Enterprise application deployments.... and whatever else needs doing.
City is a pretty big market but not HCOL.
And hate to say it, but you’d likely get more if you were paid better currently.
If you are a manager at your current firm, I’d discuss a “principal consultant” role which would get you into the mid 100’s.
True, did you tell them what you are making currently? I’d aim high on what you want.
I’d ask for mid 100’s and let them counter with the title that allows that level of comp.
