Trying to figure out next career move. Im 26. What path would you chose?

1. Currently: Senior associate in GE @ secondaries firm. Path to partner. Will have $1b AUM with 3rd fund raised. WLB is great - avg 40 hrs/week. Culture is rough b/c partner dynamics. Leadership is uninspiring. 5 days a week in office with rare work remote option. Don’t love only doing secondaries.

2. Move to VC or another GE shop, one that does more primary. Find more inspiring people to work around, better mentors.

Anyone working for Shell? Or Total that can refer me?

I have 15 years of supply chain experience and an MBA. Looking for a remote, Hybrid or something near Downtown Houston.

I have been in a HR Director role for a number of years.

Is anyone interested in taking over the lease for a top floor 3 bed 2 bath, 1500 SQ ft apartment in a newly built complex in Plaza Midwood? The lease runs through Sept 2023. This upcoming year our school district is trying early release every Wednesday. I find it difficult to cover all the standards in a high school math class, and now I am concerned with having to modify/reduce our curriculum. It will take 10-15 minutes out of the period on Wednesdays. Do you think it will change what we can teach? A colleague suggested a flipped classroom. I teach in an affluent area that only spent a couple weeks remote learning for all last year. Thoughts on flipped classroom?

I am in a dilemma. I have an interview coming up with Amazon this week. I have already got my interview rescheduled twice, do you think it would be okay if I get my interview rescheduled or get it cancelled. Going for this interview definitely means to be on the path of rejection. I am afraid if I get it cancelled or rescheduled, Amazon might black list me based on the fact that I delayed the interview twice. What do you guys suggest ? What should I say to the recruiter?

Videos longer than 15 min get automatically shortened to 15 min on IG Reels! Help!

So, I usually host an IG live session. Typically, it last 45 min.

If I upload directly after recording the live, then the full 45 min is uploaded in 1080 x 1920 format. Besides missing a cover image, it’s fine. But, in most cases, I need to re-upload the 45 min video once I edit it (remove slurs, etc.)

However, when I upload my edited 45 video, it automatically gets cut to 15 min.

I found little workaround…

I have a reinforcement ML algorithm that reads historical data for a stock and tries to make a prediction on its future price. The training data is 20 years of daily indicators and the evaluation is 1 year while the testing data is also 1 year. My problem is that it takes the algorithm almost 12 hrs to make one full run through a training session on my MacBook. I also tried with google colab pro using their gpus and tpus but they’re only slightly faster. Is there any way to speed this up?
