I was recently in consideration for a promotion but got passed over. I was told , in confidence, that I viewed as less serious about the role because I teleworked while colleagues were getting back to the office. That was viewed by senior leaders as being less serious about the job.

I am not sure what to do. My company just had another round of massive layoffs. So far my job was spared. I do got a job offer from a different company but the salary is way lower than what I have now (20,000$ less).
