Finally this week on Tuesday my manager asked me to automate few things. Back to work.
Which location? Did you look at the available positions and apply for them? Did you reach out to other managers/directors from your vertical?
I work for Hyderabad location, my manager and all work on enterprise content management. Most of the time our projects will be taking the user request and doing the changes to enterprise content. We work on enterprise content management tool called documentum presently they are migrating from documentum to Veeva vault. Concepts in all enterprise content management will be same. They told there is migration task I will be doing.
Why don't you directly talk to your recruiting HR for the same. And the Bench policy (Not directly, But ask like what are the chances of Project in my technology, If there is no project then how should utilize my time)
They have provided me some environments to get habitual. It's been more than 2 months like that. I just want to know is this normal in cgi or I am in danger. So that I can attend interviews and move to other organisation
Been working with CGI past 4 years. Haven't heard about any firings. Its a safe place, they will put you in some project, there are many opening in CGI.
Thanks for the response. I am really worried about this. But what I don't understand is bench period same everyone or I am the only one left out. Before joining some people said that If the bench bench period is more than 2 months in cgi l they will lay off exseems. But many of them said like cgi don't fire single employee.
I just joined CGI this week and one of my concern was what happens if you’re in bench for a long time. The Manager I was talking to said he knows people in bench for more than 6 months and they don’t fire anyone just because they’re on bench. I am in CGI Canada though just to clarify
Welcome to cgi bro.
