I have more than 2 years of experience as software developer. My main expertise is developing android and iOS mobile application. I recently moved to US to pursue my masters degree. As of right now, I am having hard time trying to get a job related to my field. No luck with freelancing sites.

Are there analytics consulting firms still hiring that work on longer term projects (i.e. 3-6 months)? I'm working in deal analytics and while I actually like consulting, I'm tired of constantly working on diligence projects, having 0 WLB, or being able to think deeply about problems my client has. I don't mind traveling, but would appreciate a firm that has some flexibility on where my home base is.

Currently make base $250k plus 25% bonus and started Meta with 200k in stock. I was approached on LinkedIn for an early career recruiting role in DFW, TX. I don't have direct experience, but I have the university experience/connections from working in career services. This is the first time I've considered work outside of higher education. I said my salary expectations are minimum $90k and that didn't seem to be an issue. Am I asking too little, too much? How can I know I'm getting the best salary and not just settling at the low end of the range?

If a company sends you an offer, and you send back a counter offer...can they rescind your offer and go with the next candidate? Or are you fairly safe if you counter, you just might have to accept the original offer?

I recently learned that my colleague makes $10k more than I do for the same role and we have the same experience. Completely understand it’s my fault for not doing a great job with negotiating my salary. I’m afraid I’m doomed in my current company & will always be on the lower end of the pay range.
