Hi! Putting your co-worker aside, I think the bigger question to consider is: are you being compensated at the level that is in line with your experience for the role that you're currently in? My guess is you already know the answer and that's what's not sitting right with you. I was in a similar situation and finally decided to leave and received a $33K pay bump. Wish I had left sooner! 😊

Hi there! Thanks so much for your kind and insightful response, you gave me a lot to think about. I would be nervous about starting a job search right now, as I don’t have a lot of experience in my new position, but I suppose that is always an option. Congratulations on your major pay bump, that is awesome!!

I work for a small firm (about 20 attorneys) and make 90k. I’m coming up for a raise discussion in a couple of months but don’t know how to go about it/what is reasonable to ask for. I bill about 35 hrs/week at 400/hr, so I think I deserve a bump, especially considering the posture of the market. Any advice/feedback from similarly situated associates or partners at similarly sized firms?

Hi Fishes, Few FAQs as they can help all. I am expecting some EPAMer will respond. 1) Does EPAM Anywhere reimburse internet charges additionally? 2) How tough are client interviews? 3) I heard first month you get full salary. How's that possible if a person will be on bench? 4)Do you get laptop from project client? 5)How true is relocation buzz? 6)Can you brief about appraisal/promotion assessment? What's the process? How tough is it? Thanks

I was offered a large raise/promotion at my current company (Series A Funded, been here since seed round). I have the option to do stock or cash or a combo. Anyone have an idea on what to do for something like this? We have good funding and are considered a first mover in our vertical. It's SaaS but we are having issues figuring out our business model and product. We have a lot of F100 customers though. any suggestions?

I’m friendly/chat with associates and am on great terms with one partner who gives me work often, but not much else. I was laid off in June and just got a job offer that I am excited about. However, my partner and I are also in discussions about moving. The job would be remote for at least another 5+ months so it wouldn’t be an issue now, but eventually people will be back in the office in some hybrid plan. Is it better to float the possibility of working remote long term with HR now? Or do I accept and say nothing til we’ve officially decided to move. I don’t want to lose the opportunity. What would u do?

Hi all - Looking for recommendations on where to live in NYC. Few things Im looking for: - looking for diversity in general; lived in Boston suburbs and felt like it was way too homogeneous - we’re a korean family with young kids; really enjoy/appreciate korean culture/food/etc - looking for great public school district (perhaps most important) as kids are kindergarten age - SO works in Queens; I’ll likely work in Manhattan (to the extent commute matters) Thanks in advance for any thoughts!!
