Hi there. I have an art director partner and we work really well together. We’re thinking about building a portfolio together. What are your thoughts on that?

I've done it. It's great when agencies are looking for teams. Have a joint book but also.keep your own in good shape.

I think it’s fine if you have at least 50% of the work together.

If not, I think you both are just taking advantage of someone else’s work.

I have a good partner now and we would double our lions together. But we just have 2 spots together for now. So we are holding until we have 50% of our future book built together.

Any recommendations for patent prosecution practice management software for a small firm? Currently not using anything and want to be able to better manage and monitor associates.

I'm into Salesforce dev, quite curious abt the product based firms. What's the type of work we have there, timings, work life balance, growth opportunities, new learnings, up to date with latest features etc.
I'm working in a Consulting firm and hope to switch to a Product based soon. Not sure if it'll be a good idea. Got 7 years into Consulting in Big Fours.
Can someone help me with the difference between Product based / Service Based / Consulting Firms based on all above mentioned parameters.

Fellow runners - I’ve been running 3-4x per week at about a 20-25 mile/week for the past year or so.

My questions: (1) does it make sense to take a week off and let myself rest or do other workouts (i.e. cycling) and (2) I’ve been running with the same shoes since August last year - make sense to get new ones?

Hi, I'm an employee at a hotel chain who works remotely. I've been working remotely for over a year now and I love it! The company I work for is very supportive of remote workers, which is great.

But there's one thing that's been bothering me: it's hard to get feedback on my work when I'm not in the office. It would be great if there was some kind of system that let me know how my performance was being evaluated while I'm working on projects from home.

Hi 👋 Any good UX books for senior designer level that helps with strategy, and good frameworks, or anything that will help me with my thought process? I have the basic books like don’t make me think, and 100 things. I’ll be joining a startup soon as chief designer, and will be back to being a full stack designer — I’ve been an IC for the past few years, so I definitely need to improve on strategies and maybe frameworks when it comes to UX. Will appreciate any suggestions. Thanks! 🙏🏻

What’s the common etiquette for waiting for a recruiter to call you back? Recruiter called me yesterday & left voicemail to call her back. I called back less than 5 mins later and left a voicemail, but didn’t get a call back. Tried calling one more time at the end of the day but no answer. Still haven’t heard anything today. Should I keep waiting or try calling again or send an email? Don’t want to be too aggressive but also want to hear their update & hopefully schedule next round interview
