Reviewing resumes and I see more and more frequent that people last one year or less at a job and move on to the next. Is that the new norm? I’m a millennial but my last job I was with for over 4 years. Can I ask in the interview why they’ve moved around so much? Or find a nicer way of asking that. I’m definitely looking for longevity not a hopper.
HELP ASAP. Anyone remembers the video response questions for Bloomberg Equity Research Associate position? I can never pass those thing and have no idea why.
Currently a senior analyst (1.5 YOE) at AFS, anyone at Deloitte have an idea at what level I'd be hired at? Pay range? Looking at an agile role (have certs)
I just finished my last round of interviews for Consultant role at Slalom. I live in a metropolitan area and have 5+ years of non-traditional experience but with skill sets they really need. What base pay should I expect/is fair? Also did anyone negotiate full-time remote? Slalom Consulting
Is it common for companies to not disclose pay grades? I started a new job last month and the position title is very vague/fluid and they wanted someone with a master’s degree, but they got me instead who has two bachelor’s degrees and seven years of experience in my field of digital marketing. I asked my managers if I could receive my pay grade information to keep with my own personal records and they said, “In the interest of confidentiality we cannot share that”. Anyone else w/this issue?
During the interview, my reporting manager told me that I need to relocate to the city where the Job is, now that I've accepted the offer, can I ask to be remote and if it cannot be granted, can I back up from the offer?
How long did it take you leave Deloitte? Like from receiving another offer to your last day? I know there’s an exit checklist floating around somewhere but just curious what the timeline looks like.
What exit ops prioritize creative thinking roles? Trying to do some thinking about what I really want out of my career, and I miss doing the creative problem solving from my mech eng background
Special hiring campaign at Deloitte! Looking for candidates with financial services background at all levels and with Strategy, Operations, Implementation, Cloud, or AI experience. DM me if you’d like a referral. My last referral was hired in as a Manager with a ~200k base, $15k sign on, as well as a H1B transfer.
Onsite interview: tech round, Case round & managing partner core consulting round. Which one has most influencing decision making effect?
What’s the best way to capitalize on this hot market right now? Just applying on LinkedIn? Trying to find an application strategy but not sure where to start.
For Deloitte S&A, is the case interview interviewer-led or candidate-led? I thought it was candidate-led but someone just told me they have been interviewer-led..
Have an interview with the hiring manager for Solution Engineer at a start-up tomorrow. What are some main things/skills I need to demonstrate to them as a potentially great Solution Engineer? How can I best prep if he asked me to do a demo: should I make some PowerPoint in advance?
Recently transitioned to a startup and my confidence has skyrocketed. Presenting, interviewing, making my point heard are SO much easier when I’m working with colleagues and not clients who I feel don’t want me there. For those who struggle with confidence, there is hope!
My one month old baby has been extremely fast and has reflux, due to which she is not able to sleep lying straight in her crib. She just wants to sleep clinging to my chest in upright position. Any suggestions on how to make baby sleep well, and get some sleep for myself as well?
Currently in Accenture with CTC 9.4 LPA (including bonus, fixed pay : 8.4) and 4 years 4 months experience in a .Net Support project having experience in Python, Powershell Scripting as well as in Blue Prism RPA. Want to switch to companies like Deloitte, KPMG, Morgan Stanley , JP Morgan or any such big firms. Can someone tell me if I can get offers in those considering I have worked in a support role for all the years? If yes then also my expected package ?
Is it worth it to get a professional certification like SHRM/PHR? Not many of my colleagues have one and it’s not a requirement for my role, but I’m curious if it’s worth it in the long run
What is the salary difference between an L10 Senior Recruiting Analyst and an L9 Recruiting Specialist??
In a world of remote consulting work…. How long can the US maintain its high premium over European and, esp. developing market consulting? Both price tag to clients and significantly higher salaries for the people. I imagine may move faster at Big 4, etc. than MBB, but within MBB the huge cost and salary differentials feel… increasingly hard to maintain (even though I think the differential has actually gotten bigger, not smaller in the last two years). Thoughts?
Upcoming strategy case interview with EY Parthenon. Anyone know if these are interviewer or interviewee led? Knowing what to practice will help.
Can somebody refer me at MBB, Accenture, EY and PwC? Victim of Deloitte layoff. Would appreciate any and all the help I can get!
What was your salary when you made Senior Consultant/ Senior Analyst? Include company, segment/group, and years at firm please
Anyone looking for a freelance graphic designer or illustrator? Just got laid off, and could use something to hold me over.
What is the average compensation for an account manager (sales focused) selling into Microsoft? Base + variable.
Looking at the way people are laid off, utilization is just one part of it. It's so hard to pin point what is (proper consultants let go from projects, etc..)
I am a Manager in Salesforce practice at D and I have 15 YOE and 5 years in Salesforce and at 145k base at D. Is it reasonable to expect a Senior Manager or Director role at pwc or accenture or other top consulting firms with a 30% hike? I took my current role at D at the start of the pandemic and got myself a bad bargain which is why I am looking to move.
What kind of consulting do post mba consultants do at EY since Parthenon is blended in now? And what’s a good reason for switching from Deloitte to EY for post mba? TIA
Has anyone experienced prenatal depression? I’m 10 weeks pregnant with my 2nd (I have a 1.5 yo) - I’ve always been a very happy person, so these new emotions have hit me like a ton of bricks. Pregnancy has been very easy, no sickness, no side effects. Just the nonstop crying and feeling overwhelmed no matter what. I have a lot of love and support so I feel stupid falling apart.
feeling sorry for the guy/girl who forgot their microsoft laptop/ tablet in an AA flight from DFW to ORD sitting in 16e. Turned it in just now. Hope you are in FB and you get it back.
Had a minor back injury (should heal on its own) but I don’t think sitting in an office chair all day is helping. Any ideas to make it more bearable?
Booked a flight on Delta after my AA was canceled and I got Zone 1 despite having no status. Did I miss something? It's a small plane so maybe everyone is Zone 1? LGA-ORD
I have a strict budget, max 401k/IRA, and invest in broad market index funds. If I’m not getting a raise/bonus till year end, is all that’s left just to... work and collect my paycheck? Feels like the entire year is planned out now
Thinking of applying to MBA next fall after two years of consulting post-undergrad. 760 GMAT, 3.3UGPA, with a Master's Degree. Realistically, with only two years of work experience and a 3.3 GPA, are H/S out of the question? Am I out of the running for M7? And if so, how can I strengthen my application now for the fall? Should I wait another year or two?
EY Consultants In Deals Advisory (IT M&A) what's the average salary for Manager in Minneapolis/Chicago area? Also, do you sponsor MBAs?
MBB really missed the boat on this practice area
