Hi there, I’m applying for an assistant nurse manager position for a telemetry unit at Kaiser here in Los Angeles. The hospital is decently-sized, 260-bed capacity. They’re offering 165k plus bonuses, 3:00PM to 11:30PM and on-call every 5th week. I have 6 YO related experience, been RN for 14 years. The hospital is 12 miles away from home. May I ask your opinion about this offer? I currently work as ICU RN for Cedars-Sinai making about 140k. Thank you.
Sounds about right for Kaiser. Load a high salary on the front end to attract new hires but offer little with regard to promotion and salary increases over time. That’s what attracts people to Kaiser. Can’t beat a 12 mile commute in LA. Also Kaiser’s RN union remains one of strongest. So if you’re ok with little to no room for promotion potential go for it. Just make sure you discuss this moving forward.
I’m curious how they do bonuses? What do they base it off of?
Hi, wanted to ask if you might be able to help out with a referral for Cedars-Sinai
