Hi there, I’m wondering if it’s worth it to get the CFA, if so, what career moves would you make and what positions to look for/apply? I have the Series 7, 66, 9/10, health and life insurance, did an accreditation program for private wealth advisor through my current work, studying for the CFP to sit for the exam sometime in 2023 and have the MBA. I currently work in private wealth management. Any other recommendations are welcome.

If you’re still young with no kids, I’d say go for it. It’s not a must, but a great credential to have in pwm, even if you’re in the advisor role.

Thanks! Yeah still young and no kids, plenty of time and still some motivation left

Capgemini I joined sometime back at D1 level , I do technical work most of time like coding, dev, testing etc.
I have worked a lot in my 14 years and still have required skills needed for the work. I don't have energy to slog any further. Moreover I get anxiety when I see junior level people doing same work as me and earning more or same.
I feel cannot sit longer hrs due to back issues and other health issues and family commitments.

Can I change to management side without risking my job .

Have others found it hard to transition from Audit to Financial Analyst? All the recruiters I’m meeting with are telling me I probably won’t get an interview since they’re looking for someone who’s ready to hit the ground running.
It’s discouraging because I’m a fast learner, and from talking to my friends who are Financial Analysts, it doesn’t seem like what we do is so dissimilar.

I feel like at this point I need to stick to something instead of jumping around to different fields. Not sure I want to stay in law for the long term but also unsure about my exit options. Need a gut check—is it crazy to lateral for not vibing with your firm? My firm is great on paper but they usually hire by word of mouth, so attorneys tend to be of similar background. I’m the only POC attorney & don’t have much common w/ everyone else. I’m worried that this will affect my development, since partners & senior associates prefer working w/ associates they get along with. I’m friendly and professional, but sometimes I feel I’m overlooked because I don’t click with them as much.

I’ve been applying for jobs and internships in my field (looking for jobs in media production, social media, music, entertainment) for months with no luck. They say it’s about connections, but my connections are limited especially in these fields. I am constantly ghosted by recruiters and managers on LinkedIn. I have film PA experience, but other than that my background is in retail. Any advice going forward?

Getting badly dumped a year ago fueled me to accomplish A LOT! I recently saw on social media that my ex is doing terrible in life, entirely by her own doing. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't the least bit satisfied by this, especially with how poorly she treated me; however, with this revelation, I fear I've gotten over it. Normally I'd say this is a good thing and I'm moving forward in life, but my anger towards her motivated me to succeed and prove her wrong, and I don't want to let it go.

Current TC 103K [88/15], offer 125k base [+discretionary bonus].

Open to a new role more focused in the tech industry. Have nearly 5 years working in a top 5 Canadian bank. I currently manage a commercial banking portfolio of roughly $100 million in annual commercial lending clients. Have experience selling and managing c-suite etc. Looking for a remote opportunity.

I graduated with my MBA in finance in 2020 and began working at a bank as a Management Trainee. 2 years later, I am an assistant to a financial advisor studying to become a financial advisor. However, I have to do this on MY time and not the bank's.
I am not in a Management position, I make as much as a teacher in a good district and I just don't feel my overall self worth at this job. Does anyone have any advice that can help this situation?
