Hi there! Just wondering if anyone could give me some insight on their experience with Amazon job applications. I've applied for 4 roles that I'm VERY confident in, but my applications have been in a "under consideration" status for a month or so. I was even referred for the position by another Amazon employee, which I was told would help.
Do recruiters who do initial screening interview decide if the hiring manager interviews you?

What is an exit opportunity that I should be looking for from audit to an accounting / finance role that is not the typical monthly close? I think I would get pretty bored with that type of role each month so wanted to see if anyone has any input on what else is out there as I look into my next career steps. Thank you in advance!

Had my BCG final interview. For the 1st interview the fit portion went well, but nerves got the best of me while doing the Case portion. Blanked out on the math portion and needed guidance. Time ran out before I can give a full recommendation. 2nd interview I did somewhat average but the interviewer was pretty dry and I don’t know how I feel about it. If I didn’t receive an offer same day does it mean I was passed on? What are my chances? Thanks
Has anyone ever been contacted by a hiring manager from Google on LinkedIn? If so what was your experience? I had 2 hiring managers contact me recently to set up an intro call. I’m unsure what to expect.

Hi, I have a question in regard of applying for an internal positions within the company. I been here for 6 months and found another opportunity that I am very interested in that was just posted. I have an interview with HR but it states that if it goes to the hiring manager, it will notified my manager.
Should I tell my manager now or just until it notified my manager? I would feel stupid if the hiring manager didn't pick me

Looking for advice….
Currently SDR for a start up making 40k w OTE 60k. The job is okay but recently there is a lack of marketing (no marketing person) so inbound leads are down… which is essentially ruining my compensation. Only been with the company for 6mo post undergrad. Only thing I really like is that it’s remote work and I’m not micromanaged. Should I stick it out and stay till the one year mark/ move to AE? Or should I look for another SDR position?
Morning all, I am looking for someone Toronto based that would be willing to have a chat/do a referral for a Senior Consultant role within healthcare/public sector.
While I have met some great connections through here and LinkedIn, my search for a new role is nearing 7/8 months and I am very eager to land a role in an industry I am interested in before I get in FS.
So if you/someone you know is hiring for their team feel free to reach out, I am open to chat and would appreciate any leads. TIA
Anyone go from litigation in-house to in-house corporate? I'm in-house litigation now, but I realize that those roles are harder to come by, and so wondering if I should get ahead of myself sooner rather than later and jump to corporate to expand my skill set and set up for more exit opportunities in the future. 10 YOE in Lit.

Dad's a little guidance please. We bought a Chicco car seat with base and a stroller that accepts the car seat. . I've been reading that other brands (e.g Britax, MaxiC) do not have a base and remain in the car. So how to Britax car seat parents move/carry their infants around? Remove from the car seat and hand carry or prop into stroller?
Currently, I put the baby into the car seat and he stays in it and is carried around in it. Trying to understand the process if I were to buy a Britax.

Starting to get feelers out for Account Management roles (fully remote or hybrid Seattle based). My experience is working with e-commerce businesses and i would like to build on that. So far I am lined up to speak with Shopify, Twilio, Attentive. Anyone have good/bad things to say regarding these companies? Where else should I consider?
Has anyone reached out to a recruiter on LinkedIn for a company that you want? Any success stories/ways to go about it?
Used to rejection and I don’t let it get me down, but with the job market being the way it is—should I put my plans to get into tech on hold? I was thinking maybe construction sales or even possibly recruiting. I’m hesitating because of the nitpicking from HMs and recruiters for “job hopping”. Do I stay the course and make a move into tech for next gig or wait until things stabilize more? It’s really difficult right now with the candidate pool being so vast in tech.
Are all MLMs really evil? Obviously the ones like Luluroe and such that you have to buy $$$ merch up front. But are there any that actually work well? I have friends who sell Amway (which I thought was evil), but they legitimately love what they do. And they're not -terribly- sales pushy like other people I've met. Curious if the MLM industry is shifting.
This is a little off topic from our normal posts, but there is a FishBowl running group on Strava if anyone is interested.

Hello, I currently work at NTT and am a top performer. I qualified for president’s club but there was no trip because of the pandemic. We were told on multiple company calls that winners would be included on the next scheduled event. My business unit has had record profits the past few years, but has made the decision to not honor previous president’s club reps, so no trip, no check, no nothing… I make a lot of money but my heart is telling me to quit. Looking for some urgent career advice
I am working on a research study about the pandemic's effect on work-life balance and communication styles within the workplace. I would greatly appreciate anyone who would complete the following survey: forms.gle/xd2vYEtfcAiBRThs6. All submissions are anonymous and all questions are optional.
Thanks in advance!
Recruiter lied about interview process and job type. First interview goes well and interviewer tried to schedule me for in-person interview first thing next morning. I tried to push off into next week and was told it wouldn’t work with timeline. Everything was supposed to be remote, should I keep it moving and go somewhere else?
