I’m an Inside sales rep and when I transferred into a different department for similar role, I did it for commission purposes and in hopes of increase salary. I wanted to apply for ISR II but was told everyone must start off as a level I (even though I was an ISR 1 for almost two years). After I accepted the new role, a month later a rep on my previous team (who was hired 6 months after me) was hired on as a level two. I was disappointed because I felt lied to but also noticed (Cont in comments)

Calling all the folks in the SaaS selling space. I genuinely want to know what makes having SaaS selling industry experience so unique? Here’s a little background: I was negatively impacted during the pandemic when working at a hospitality SaaS company as a CSM. Now I’m trying to work my way back into the SaaS space as either a sales professional or CSM but I feel like my six years of selling experience is being discounted because it wasn’t in the SaaS industry.
