I have an interview for a TPM role that I didn't technically apply to (my resume got passed along). I work in a technical environment but dont have a technical background. Do I actually have a real shot??
How technical are TPM roles? I know how to talk to technical people but not make technical decisions myself. Amazon Project Kuiper.

Sourcer can be easier role to transition into if you are just getting started especially with major tech companies. Recruiters normally have prior experience of supporting full cycle hiring not only do they have sourcing experience but they own and close candidates. Hope that helps
If a company has this split into 2 different roles the Sourcer tend to be more behind the scenes - posting job posts and churning thru resumes, maybe emailing basic questions and scheduling an intake with a recruiter. Recruiter interacts with the candidates and hiring manager. Smaller companies often a recruiter will do their own sourcing, scheduling and screening.
That sounds like a recruiting coordinator, not a sourcer.
