At that level I would compare based on team culture, pay, etc rather than prestige
Monitor before they changed their name
I don’t know about prestige, but after interviewing at both I went with EYP simply because I got better vibes and liked them more (both Toronto offices, similar pay).
Honestly if you’re choosing between Monitor and Parthenon - they are both prestigious. Just go with the one that makes sense for you. My hot take is Monitor gets better/cooler projects and EYP has better everything else.
Ex OW guy here. I would take EYP. More prestigious to me than an MDeloitte.
EYP is very nascent in Canada though. They've taken a lot of EY advisory folk and just loved them under the EYP label.
But on the flipside, there's also been a lot of restructuring at Deloitte now too.
Why do you people care so much about prestige? Prestige can't buy you a night at the Ritz and I guarantee you that's more prestigious than anything these companies do.
I'd take a firm where Ritz is in policy over a "prestigious" one.
Deloitte Monitor
Keep in mind that EYP is not remotely close to EYP in US. 95% of work is old OTS work (PMO work mostly). I’d stick with Deloitte.
Thank you SC1

Thanks for the insight D1. But if you were evaluating an offer between EYP & MD which one would you choose?
Thanks D1!
Thanks for the great responses everyone!!
EYP is still growing and is a small practice in Toronto, MD has a lot more alum but it depends on what you want to get out of your career. Small can be good to differentiate and add value
Thank you PWC 1. I will keep this advice in mind.
I would go with MD just because knowing the EYP team here in Toronto they mostly focus on M&A transactions and due diligence type of gigs as opposed to strategy heavy projects in the US. This is probably because the EYP team is really small here and most folks were pulled in from the old EY transaction services team.
What kind of salary for a manager level is EYP paying?
Biased but MD. If this was the US it might be a different conversation.
