I have a promotion offer of $75k(base) as a Sr. Data Analyst with Public Partnership in Phoenix, AZ. This is a remote role.

I have not done any consulting before so I am not sure how it works, what I would need to set up (they mentioned that I would start a LLC and bill them directly, no idea how to do that), how to determine the tax implications of this, or what hourly rate I would expect. Suppose the company is ready to give me early release on my 90 days NP, and for a moment, assume, I don't want it. Then how can I proceed?

I can simply say, no and continue serving my NP. However, if they insist, then should I ask them to pay me for the remaining NP? (like early release in one month, but ask them to pay for full three months)
