Hi All, My sister has cleared all the rounds in Accenture. HR contacted her today to negotiate the salary. My sister asked for 8LPA FP. HR said the max fixed pay they could offer is 7.5LPA. My sister told she would think and get back in few minutes. Within 5 minutes, HR moved the candidature status to “on hold” due to budget constraints. None of the HRs are answering the calls. What can i expect? TIA I am feeling worse as i advised my sister to tell HR that she would get back. :(

The TCS HR asked me to upload all the educational certificates, last hike letters, last 3 pay slips, ID proofs and past work experience letters before the salary discussion. To which I said, I will upload the payslips and hike letter for now as they are required for salary discussion. And will provide other docs post salary discussion based on the out come. Now, she is like "You seem reluctant to share basic information and hence we are not proceeding further

My HR discussion including salary discussion with TCS happened on 14th March. My status was changed to 'Evaluation In progress' on 16th March. But again on 24th March, it got changed to 'Evaluation In progress'. Is it normal ? I didn't get the logic why status is same but corresponding date just got changed. Any thoughts on this? *Hot salary negotiation tip in case this is helpful for any other juniors out there* When taking my current job I was not very impressed with the offer, but wanted to take the job for other reasons. The recruiter proactively offered me to be approved for OT pay at time and a half. TBH I didn’t think too much about it at the time but appreciated what seemed like a genuine effort. OMG now that I’m working 55h+ weeks... GAME. CHANGER. Do it.

Hi friends. Freelance Senior CW (7-8 years) here, currently negotiating a 2 month freelance contract at mcgarrybowen. They want my hourly rate which is always tricky in my opinion. My typical day rate is 800/day (Atlanta, Chicago). I'm thinking of saying $100/hour, but want to be competitive. Thoughts? (For context, I have no idea whether this is for their NYC or Chicago office.)
Last year, My girlfriend was making 80k while I was making 200k so I took her out to dinners and took care of the groceries etc. Basically made sure it’s an equitable relationship. She got a new job this year and is now making 210k (more than me) but still expects me to pay for all the dinners and groceries. I’ve already talked to her about this but just resulted in argument. Is there any coming back from this situation to make this equitable relationship or is break up the only option here?
