So i was suppose to get an revised compensation letter, will i be eligible for that even now? After my resignation.
Also, my first anniversary rating is 5.

I need some thoughts on what to ask for a starting salary. My background is ten years in tech support, and currently Lead Graphic Designer for my department with about four years of graphic design behind that. I also just finished my master's degree in Human Computer Interaction design (and was among the top in my class). I thought $80k as an absolute minimum ask but considering my credentials and education I really don't want to undersell myself. I'd appreciate thoughts on the matter.

Nobody has really ever explained much about this side of private practice to me. From what I can tell based on my experience:
(1) their cases are usually really weak (maybe my biglaw defense-side bias)
(2) their lawyers tend not to be as highly credentialed
(3) would offer better experiences for junior litigators

I have kind of a weird relationship with my extended family. I have an aunt and cousin who moved away when I was pretty young so despite being the same age, me and my cousin were never close. My client wants to hire me directly but I'm at offshore, he says he will give short term onsite for three months and within those days he will try to hire me directly.
