Hi guys, I’ve recently joined TCS a couple of weeks back. I have 2 years of work experience in previous company (SAP consultant), but I couldn’t learn anything as my project team just used me for some data entry of project & I lost my skills. The TCS interview also didn’t ask any difficulty questions in interview and they hired me. I'm from a warmer climate and just got assigned to a client in the northeast for the winter. I'll mostly only have to travel for meetings, where a suit/ dress is necessary, but I'm not sure what kind of shoes to wear if it's cold or snowing. The only flats I have (rothys) work well with skinny pants, but look weird with trousers and might not work for snow.

Small agency owner 🙋🏻‍♂️ I’ve wracked my brain and have 3 biz model options, none great:

Billable hrs: Generally accepted. We all know the downsides.

Pay4performance: Big upside potential, tons of risks.

Project pricing: Cloak for billable hours. You have to estimate project cost with something.

Who’s thought of a better approach??? Genuinely curious if there is one.

Sitting in a meeting and the stock image is brown-skinned Black women having a conversation. Tell me why the client said we need to use more "approachable" women and brings up a stock image of three VERY light-skinned women and a white woman in almost the exact same pose. Everyone agreed that these women were more approachable and relatable and deadass, not one person could come up with a reason why. Like??

How far into your career did it take before working at a place that had black people in leadership positions? I have yet to work at a place where that's a reality...
