If you know this is the school for you, nothing you do can stop you. That means go and visit, network with as many students, alum, admissions folks. Get one of the influential alums to be your mentor and reference. Talk to folks at your firm who went there. Attend diversity events if you identify. Craft a story about your background, personal passions, and future goals. If they don't accept you after all that, they don't deserve you.
When you're part of an underrepresented group it's actually a lot harder to get the role. Statistics don't lie. Why aren't there enough women candidates or POC applying for certain jobs? That's the question to ask when we think about what it means to be "privileged." I used Asians as a model minority bc in our field they are over represented when you compare them to population size.
How did you get into a big 4 with a 2.0 college gpa. I'm just curious.
Maybe Northeastern
Why do I care about your high school GPA?
Top 20 school with a gpa of 2.0? Out of 4.0?
OP, you're right on the precipice; what was your junior high school GPA?
Is being a consultant at a Big 4 despite really shitty grades a "story"?
So you expect to just keep lucking your way up?
Not on numbers alone. Hope you have an interesting background
Probably a more intriguing story
Jesus, my GPA was more than twice yours and we are both sluggin' it out I the Big 4. I need to re-evaluate my life choices
I think the reoccurring story is you're a smart kid who doesn't try in school. That's a hard argument for trying to get a school to want you
If you managed to get a 740 on the GMAT and are producing at a big 4 sounds like you're not dumb just lazy as shit
Are you tall? Are you attractive? Should add those for good measure.
95% of life is being at the right place at the right time.
I think many of us are a little intrigued by this anomaly
You sir are a mystery wrapped in an enigma
Did you have cancer? Did you cure cancer while you were skipping all those classes? Did you support a family of 8 while working three jobs and going to class? These are the stories that would make sense with those numbers.
Yes
This feels like the benefit of privilege
