I think my career has tanked!
I've been working in SAP Basis Module for the last two years and I hate my job to be honest. Most of my peers have crossed 5 LPA and got promoted while I didn't even come close to 4 LPA. My colleagues and peers are reticent and I feel I'm wasting my time. I tried to switch to another company, but I got rejected, despite being certified in SAP HANA. My company doesn't recognise my work and I work in night shifts which made me depressed. How do I rebound in my career?
Google 🐠 - I have no prior Product Management experience (officially) but I’m a SWE that wears many hats for a small product and have previous experience at Big4. Chances at a PM role even without prior PM experience? Also trying to figure out if I’d even enjoy it, since I do love coding

What does burn-out look like to you?
Pay👍🏻 coz higher designation comes with more responsibilities and work load with less pay so go for lower designation with high pay for stress less life.
Designation is important, Paisa to ata jata rhta hai.
Pay
Personally, I would rather remain SDE3 for my remaining life and try to maximize CTC than become SDM.
A balance between both based on my experience. If I being given a higher designation for lesser experience, when I jump I may not get the same level as my level exp may not match the expectation. Same with pay, no one wants to be an over paid resource, you know why ;)
I am sorry, looks like you never understood my point, if your company plans to layoff, you would be potentially in the list, secondly if you were to look out then you would be competing with folks who are at lesser cost than you.
It's simple, even for those who would say they want designation-
Option 1- Tech Architect with 25 LPA.
Option 2- senior software Engineer with 80 LPA..
Option one is obvious choice above..
But when salary is same then definitely designation would be preferred.
Agreed!!

Higher pay obviously 🤷♂️ higher designation won't pay your bills or help you buy a car/home
