I moved to a start up with very few women in Us sales. Most of the presales and product support is in India and all Indian men. I am finding a lack of response to my emails and meeting invites to support my clients. I am wondering if it is a cultural thing to ignore American women or just women in general. I need some advice. I’m a professional MBA student. I Was trying to break into MSFT with an internship. They ended up pulling me out of the interview loop to extend a FT offer to me. It didn’t happen. I started an Prod. Manager internship with Indeed just a week ago with hopes of converting over FT. A hiring manager & a recruiter from MSFT (2 diff reqs) just contacted me to pursue the FT offer once more. What should I do? Should I tell them about the internship? Would they wait 11 wks for me?

My line manager sends me work to do but my *colleague* keeps sending out group emails thanking and praising me for "sorting it for her". To put it plainly, this is annoying the crap out of me. No I haven't sorted it for you, I did it because it's my job. Is this annoying for other people too?

On Monday, after just five months in my role, I was laid off from my job at a tech company in the food delivery space. During the call with my manager and HR rep, I understood that I would be paid through the 15th. If I sign the severance agreement, I’ll receive an additional two weeks of pay. I took notes and asked questions for clarity, but yesterday I received a payment for about half my paycheck (i.e. not through 15th!). Tips for negotiating the severance package? I am waiting for my dream company to be out of a hiring freeze for a dream role. It should happen in the new few months, but that’s not guaranteed. I also am interviewing for another role that would be good for me, but I’m not as excited as the dream role.

I’m nervous I’m going to get this other role, then the dream one will open up again, then I’ll burn bridges by leaving. How awful would it be if it happens that way - I go join Company A for the good role for a few months then move again?

I work in events and at each event my manager hires her friend who works with us for the duration. Everyone on my teams loves him but at the last event he spent the entire event undermining me and any time he disagreed he would go to my manager to get a different answer. She’s now talking about getting him back in a bigger capacity. I found him lazy (he would disappear on his phone) and obviously would constantly undermine me. What should I do? General incivility: she avoids conversation w me and goes to the person next to me, doesn’t smile (smirks) when we make eye contact, will say good morning to everyone but me.
