Hiii! Just had my final interview and only got to ask one question because it was times up. Was hoping to use that time to show my excitement for the role and company. We used up the time discussing my role and him connecting it to role im applying for. At the end I only got to ask about company culture and quick goodbye. Last words were "i'll reach out ,recruiters name, for next steps"

Good thing bad thing?

I had the same exact thing happen to me on Monday! It was my third interview and with the Director and boy, he was a talker. If he connected your current role to the job you’re applying too “well”, i would just ride that high until you hear back from the recruiter. :/ Also remember that you had other interviews that got you to your final so others liked you! That’s what I kept telling myself 😋 Fingers crossed for you!

In taking over our strat dept I’m overhauling our recruitment plan with HR, but curious to hear opinions on interview exercises for mid and senior level folks.

I’ve always had to do them in interviews, but also don’t love that they’ve usually been ‘free thinking’ and often intensive, or don’t really help you understand their thinking.

Anyone employ exercises or assignments in recruitment that can share inspiration?

What does it mean when you apply to a bunch of jobs for which I am a good fit and you hear nothing back for these jobs? For some applications, I'm approaching two weeks since submission. I did get a call back to the first position I applied to; however, after the lab manager saw how much experience I had he said to release me, far too overqualified, tell him he should be applying to Senior Research Associate positions. I have ten years lab experience.

I need some advice. I have had two interviews with a company for a financial analyst role. It’s a private company with one owner. SaaS. The owner mentioned they’d been the subject of theft in both interviews, which I thought was very weird. I understand that one would be cautious about hiring if they’ve…

What's a really good "difficult" question that you as a candidate can ask the (big law) interviewer?

Context: I had callbacks at a big law firm while i was in law school and after one partner finished her questions and I finished asking my questions, she told me to ask her a really tough question, something to really stump her. l fumbled and am pretty sure that majorly factored into the rejection.

What would you ask?

Hey All,
I finished a third round interview, and HR contacted me that afternoon saying I had positive feedback across the board and they would contact me the next day regarding next steps. It’s been two days and they finally get back to me saying they haven’t been able to sync with the hiring manager but will keep me posted. Honestly I wish they would talk with the hiring manager and then let me know the decision instead of checking in. It’s messing with my emotions.

When someone calls your previous places of employment, what can they legally ask? I was told they can verify length of employment. I’ve heard they can or can’t ask if they would hire you back, I was told they cannot ask your previous salary. Does anyone know the facts?

I had two separate interviews these past two weeks. The first one I really connected with the interviewers and felt like I hit it out of the park. The second one I didn’t feel I was as prepared for and felt like I totally bombed it. Has anyone else had this experience and still was able to move forward? I feel like I ruined my chances by not having the right answers for the two interviewers in the second interview but I’m trying to be optimistic 😅 is there still hope?
