If you want quality boots to get out in the woods with: https://www.salomon.com/us/men/hiking-shoes
Or Merrill's.
If you want something that you can wear to the office too, you're not going to have nice boots, they'll just look nice.
In agreement with K1. Salomon is bomb. It’s what I wear hiking and I’ve done a few 14ers in them. Would recommend
If you consider walking on relatively flat ground in the woods a hike, sure, go for something stylish. If you are actually trying to hike some mountains (4000ers east coast, 10k+ West coast), you gotta go with Salomon or Merrill. Actual outdoorsy people will judge you for “stylish” hiking boots
Danner makes a highly functional boot. I wore them on countless road marches and in the field back when I was in the Army. You can purchase Danner products with confidence.
Also, LL Bean has a cool alpine hiking boot but I know very little about LL Bean and if it's just a crap catalogue company or if it’s legit
Also. LL Bean is an amazing company. They make incredible products and they're gauranteed for life
I have several pairs of Salomons. I'm always in the Rockies or similar hiking. Get these if you'll be doing hiking.
Forsake- I think you’ll like these
Danner mountain 400.
Danner for sure
* mountain 600
Danner looks great. Legitimately functional boot? Comfortable for long hikes?
I recognize Solomon is a great brand and I get that form won’t necessarily follow functionality. They just look like I’d be storming an alien spaceship or something
Love Salomon for hiking, been wearing them for 10+ years now and have climbed Half Dome and done 20+ mile hikes with them with very little foot soreness.
Thanks all. I’ve read that Danners are actually legit for hiking
