That's a horribly constructed sentence.

Lord help FCB if OP is a copywriter

like

i think OP thinks because his boss is actively searching, it means his job is more secure. please know it's not.

Was it because they're leaving or was it a list of candidates?

like

Huh? How does superior getting email from a recruiter make you think that your job is more secure?

like

Huh?

I think OP was concerned the manager was being uncommunicative and distance, so S/he thought the worst. During their meeting, OP saw said manager is setting up meetings with a recruiter to GTFO himself. In other words, OP is OK.

But also drinking.

I didn't get that from OP, AD. More like they were worried the turmoil is their fault--when in fact the turmoil is causing others pain too

Also, FCB, your job is NOT secure, ormore secure than you thought. It's always less secure than you could imagine.

Lol yeah my punctuation game is off. Anyway that was all to say that my job is more secure than I thought all day

You lost your job. Your former supervisor got an email from a recruiter. About what? In regard to your supervisor's job? Is your supervisor going to quit too? Was the recruiter asking your supervisor for a reference for you? Much confuse. Very questions.

I'm gna rage quit my own post ✌🏼

What huge1 said! See their response to my first comment. I think OP thinks they're getting the boss's job after the boss leaves or that somehow the boss job and OP's job security are connected...

@FCB trying to understand, but I'm confused. Are you drunk? Do you have huge thumbs causing a problem to type? Do you not know how to construct a proper sentence? Were there auto-correct issues? All these questions.

Had an interview where I got a bunch of mixed signals from the VP (this was my 2nd interview) but overall ended off well. However, I haven’t heard anything since. I sent a follow up to the HR manager last Friday and crickets. Should I just write it off as a loss or still hold onto (very minimal) hope.
