Crossroads Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. I have been with the organization almost 6 years and have accomplished achievement of my MSL (Masters Strategic Leadership) and LOVE the organization…BUT…I am not having any success in moving into a new position…my interviews are great experiences but it seems to be a pattern of not being selected yet encouraged to continue applying…received information from a mentor/manager to ask for candid feedback…when is enough…ENOUGH??

How is 1 yr of applicable experience “senior”? This is what’s frustrating about agencies: title inflation makes us believe people have “senior” level knowledge but they’re really just juniors... is it an unwillingness to pay real for real “senior” level experience???
It’s the band levels— we have specialist, manager, director and within them sublevels associate, just plain title, and then senior. So it’s senior within the specialist band, but not a senior band if that makes sense. It basically just enables us to promote people every year to two years in acknowledgement they are taking on more responsibilities and deserve better pay, even if they aren’t ready for the full band jump. Once a senior specialist masters their every day responsibilities, we start to prepare them for associate manager.
