For those of you hiring in tech, how has it been looking for talent and filling roles? From what I’ve heard, entry level roles seem easy to fill but experienced roles are still really difficult to find talent for…..is that what everyone else is seeing?
How would you use Glassdoor salaries? I am a sr analyst with 2 years in sr role & 5 years total experience.
A) Look @ Sr positions w/ 2 years experience (since I've been in role 2 years)
B) Look @ sr positions w/ 5 years experience
Thoughts & explanations?

Anyone looking to hire an entry level accountant position with no experience?

I am currently working at Accenture as Application development senior analyst with the CTC of 8LPA (3.5+years exp). I love my job here , all my leads are supportive and I can say I am way too much comfortable here. When I reach 5 years, definitely I will get TL promo here.
Now I have another offer in TCS with 11.5 LPA with same role(Senior Analyst).
Should I consider joining TCS for the package , or should I wait in Accenture for 1 year to get team lead promotion?
I’m a sales professional in the EdTech space. We were acquired about 2 years ago and there’s been some growing pains. I was promoted to this position in January under the impression that my bonus payout would be quarterly. Shortly after Q1, the comp said they had up to 60days to pay us out. I currently have no idea when I’m getting paid out or the precise amount. New bonus structure plans are coming out as we start a fiscal year. How would you go about renegotiating salary/ bonus payout?
Seeking advice. I work in fashion as a Creative Producer and I'm looking to transition to a PM or Digital Producer role with an AD agency to get more experience. I haven't been able to land a PM role because I'm lacking agency experience and no one seems to want to train a newbie. Should I take a pay cut (possibly entry level role) for an opportunity to get the digital experience I need? Would love some feedback!
I’m burnt out from job hopping but I’ve never liked my current job and after a year in the role, I really want to get a new one. I’m finding it hard to get a new one as a creative and I’m running out of ideas of where else I should look. Thoughts?

I am a generally "sad" person and apart from our 5 year old son, I don't have any joy in my life. I spend a lot of time with my son and we both love him to bits and show him that everyday.
I am starting my therapy, but no hope it will actually work. Is it even possible to find a way forward? Leaving the marriage at this point is not an option.

I have never seen anyone display as much grace as Barbara Walters when her co-anchor (Harry Reasoner I think) was so dismissive and rude to her; she just smiled and kept doing her job. If I end up with even half that level of class, I will consider it to be a win

Hi there! I’ve been working as designer in Toronto for the past 14 years, mostly for marketing/design agencies. In my role for the last 7 years I have been doing both front end design (html/css) and digital design (web apps/websites). I am looking now to make a move into tech and am unsure what I should be making, as someone who has both development and design skill sets. What are your thoughts on this?
Decathlon is now Nolhtaced, and it's not just the name they're changing.
The French sports brand recently took the road less taken and changed the name of its stores in 3 Belgium cities.
Nolhtaced isn't a special name.
It's Decathlon spelled backward.
Hello my fellow designers!!!
I recently started a job and I just realized they work from 9am to 6pm and I got a little bit disappointed because am used to work 9-5 🧐
Is 9-6 normal or am I too spoiled?
I’m really bad at this: I just got a last min freelance request (from an agency I want to build a relationship with) - what’s a diplomatic way to say a rush fee needs to be applied?

Hi everyone…we currently hired a “marketing assistant” who has no degree or experience in marketing or design. I’m being asked to train them, their background is retail so they’re not even familiar with basic corporate programs (Microsoft & outlook). Is it wrong to be offended? 😂 I’ve being studying graphic design since HS, my degree is Visual communications/graphic design. Now I’m being asking to just “show them” how to use the creative suite for graphics!!
What’s the secret?
No matter how I format my resume, cover letters, or any of my experience/portfolio, I never get any response when applying. I even started reaching out to hiring managers via LinkedIn and still nothing. My first role I was leading & creating for some of the biggest global clients & working on every side of the project pipeline confidently, way beyond my job title. People tell me “I’m not worried for you at all” when I was laid off, as if I should be swimming thru offers
I’m worried my portfolio has too much detail- I’m more of a design strategist/ UX research person so I want to show my process since I don’t have outputs to share. Any advice?
I just got offered 140k for design manager in Toronto. Is it ok? I would love some thoughts.
Should you tell the recruiter who placed you in the previous role, that you were laid off from the company they placed you in 1.5 years go.
(mar2021- aug 2022)
They are working with me on finding new roles for me now but they don't know I was let go.
I'm assuming they will think this as a reflection of my abilities and I might lose my only contact. ☹️
Please please advise.
I’m looking for a Freelance Mid/Sr Designer. Please feel free to DM rates/portfolio links. Thank you!

I’m not a HM but am a bootcamp grad as well. I landed my role in December after 11 company interviews and feel like I have an decent idea of what they were looking for.
Product thinking. Business sense. Collaboration. Impact (how your solution helped the business and the user)
Bootcamps are very siloed and a huge part of being a UX designer is working with constraints and navigating other stakeholders (engineers, PM, higher ups). If you can’t answer how you’ve worked with developers on a project you should consider finding opportunities where you can because it’s a critical skill and would give you a leg up from the sea of bootcampers with fake projects where the work stops at “handoff”.
Also being completely user-focused is not really how you work. At the end of the day it’s about fulfilling the customers needs but also pushing the business forward and you need to always have the business in the back of your mind.
Thanks so much for this. It was very helpful! I have a ton of marketing experience and collaboration experience so hopefully I can pull on those experiences to fill in that gap missing in my portfolio.
